DX Marathon Sprint. The CQ DX Marathon Sprint is designed to promote DXing activity with existing and new participants of the DX Marathon. The Sprint will start on 17 October at 00:00 UTC and close on 26 October at 23:59 UTC. The rules are simple: work as many countries (346) and CQ Zones (40) as possible, on 160 to 6 metres. There will be five classes (Unlimited, Limited, Formula, QRP and the new Classic Class for participants who wish to enter the Sprint only with SSB and CW contacts), All Modes or single mode (CW, SSB, Digital). WRTC 2030. Hosted by the Croatian Amateur Radio Association (HRS), the 11th World Radio Sport Team Championship will take place in Croatia, in the northeastern region of Slavonia. The announcement was made on 3 October at the WRTC 2026 Awards Ceremony, held during the Istra Contest Conference. Rodrigues Island, 3B9. Kazu, M0CFW will be active as 3B9/M0CFW from Rodrigues Island (AF-017) between 20 and 28 October. He will participate in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as 3B9KW. QSLs via LoTW and Club Log’s OQRS.
eSwatini, 3DA0. Morten, LA9GY expects to be active again as 3DA0GY from Piggs Peak, eSwatini (Swaziland) from 15 October to 2 November. He will operate CW and SSB (especially during the Worked All Germany and the CQ WW DX SSB contests) on 40 to 10 metres. QSL direct to home call, or via LoTW (sometime in 2027).
The Gambia, C5. Alan, G3XAQ will be active as C56XA from the Gambia starting on 17 November for two weeks. He will participate in the CQ WW DX CW Contest on 15 metres; outside the contest he will operate CW and some digital. QSL via LoTW, or direct to G3SWH (see https://www.g3swh.org.uk for the OQRS).
Mali, TZ. Jeff, TZ4AM will be back on the air from Mali from 22 October to 2 December. He will operate CW and SSB on 80 to 6 metres. QSL via LoTW, or direct to KX4R. This might be Jeff’s final run from Mali. As the security situation continues to decline, he says, the primary challenge remains the local economy. With rent and utilities running over USD 10 000 a year, maintaining the operation is no longer viable and he is considering closing it down completely.
Fiji, 3D2. Hans-Martin, DK2HM will be active as 3D2HM from Nadi (OC-016), Fiji between 10 and 22 October. He will operate SSB and digital on the HF bands. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS, or via home call.
Wallis and Furtuna, FW. Gavin, GM3GAV will be active as FW3GT from Futuna Island (OC-118) from 31 October to 14 November. He will operate CW and some digital on 40 to 10 metres, plus some 60 and 80 m. QSL via M0OXO’s OQRS.
Micronesia, V6. Masa, JM1LBO will be active as V63SC from Pohnpei (OC-010), Micronesia between 22 and 26 October. He will operate SSB and digital on 80 to 2 metres. QSL via LoTW, eQSL or direct to home call.

Bangladesh, S2. S21HRG is the special call sign for the 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group to be active from Tetulia, the northernmost region of Bangladesh, between 16 and 20 October. The JOTA station will operate SSB, digital and CW on 80-10 metres and via QO-100. QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
Greece, SV5. Martin, ON4PO will be active again as J45PO from Rhodes, Dodecanese (EU-001) between 19 and 28 October. During the CQ WW DX SSB Contest he will join the SX5P team in the Multi-Multi category. QSL for both call signs via Club Log’s OQRS, LoTW, or via ON4PO.
The Netherlands, PA. Volker, DL1WH will be active as PA/DL1WH from Schiermonnikoog Island (EU-038) between 10 and 16 October. He will be active holiday style on CW and some SSB. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
Scotland, GM. Stewart, G4AFF will participate in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as GM5E (QSL via LoTW) from Mainland, Shetland Islands (EU-012). Outside the contest, between 22 and 26 October, he will be active as GM4AFF/p on the WARC bands.
Norway and Sweden, LA, SM. Stefan, DL7AOS will be active as either LG5LG and SJ9WL from Morokulien, the station on the border between Sweden and Norway, between 15 and 20 October. He will operate SSB and digital modes on 160 to 6 metres and will participate in the WAG (Worked All Germany) Contest as SJ9WL. QSLs via LA7TIA.
