She is mentoring three local youths who, thanks to Don 7Q6M/D60AB, will be attending this year’s YOTA Summer Camp in France in August. Austral Islands, FO/A. Mladen, 9A2NA; Rolando, 9A3MR; Kristijan, 9A4WY; Livio, 9A7Y; Vlatko, 9A9R and Zik, DK8ZZ will be active as TX9A from Tubuai (OC-152), Austral Islands from 25 April to 7 May. Celebrating their 60th anniversary, members of the Toshiba Fuchu Amateur Radio Club (JA1YVT) will be active as JA1YVT/JD1 from Chichijima between 2 and 7 April and Hahajima between 8 and 10 April. Both islands count for IOTA group AS-031, and Ogasawara DXCC wise. They will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on 80 to 10 metres, as well as on 6 and 2 m. Italy, I. Members of ARI Sondrio (IQ2UL) will operate special event station II2AUT from 27 March to 10 April for the World Autism Awareness Day. QSL via IK2WAD. Back in 2007 the United Nations General Assembly declared 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day to highlight the need to help improve the quality of life of autistic individuals so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.
Spain, EA. Look for EG60GURU/p to be active from various SOTA locations in Spain during March. This activity is a tribute to Jose-Antonio Gurutzarri “Guru” Jauregi (EA2IF), an outstanding personality of the Summits On The Air programme, who passed away in 2022.
