Comoros Islands, D6. Elvira, IV3FSG is extending her D68Z operation from the Comoros Islands until 1 April, with plans to be more active on SSB and CW. She is mentoring three local youths who, thanks to Don 7Q6M/D60AB, will be attending this year’s YOTA Summer Camp in France in August. They live more than two hours’ drive from D68Z’s QTH and anyone wishing to contribute towards their travel costs to the station can donate via PayPal (https://www.qrz.com/db/D68Z). Fiji, 3D2. Heath, VK3TWO, will be active holiday style as 3D2TWO from Vanua Levu (OC-016) and possibly “in transit” from Viti Levu (OC-016), Fiji between 16 and 27 March. He will operate SSB and digital modes on 40 to 6 metres. QSL via operator’s instructions.

Austral Islands, FO/A. Mladen, 9A2NA; Rolando, 9A3MR; Kristijan, 9A4WY; Livio, 9A7Y; Vlatko, 9A9R and Zik, DK8ZZ will be active as TX9A from Tubuai (OC-152), Austral Islands from 25 April to 7 May. They will be active on 160 to 6 metres with two stations and a focus on “human modes as much as possible”. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS (preferred), LoTW, or via DK8ZZ. Vanuatu, YJ. Chris, VK2YUS will be active again as YJ0CA from Port Vila (OC-035) Vanuatu between approximately 24 March and 3 April, including an entry in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. He will operate SSB on 40 to 10 m, typically between 21:00 and 10:00 UTC. QSL direct to home call; he does not use LoTW or Club Log.

Pacific Trip. Fred, F4LYI will be active holiday style as FO/F4LYI between 19 March and 11 April. Announced plans for the time being are to be active from Nuku Hiva, Marquesas Islands (OC-027) between 19 and 21 March; from Us Huka, Marquesas Islands (OC-027) between 21 and 25 March; from Maupiti Atoll (OC-067), French Polynesia between 26 and 31 March and then from Bora Bora (OC-067), French Polynesia. Japan, JA. Junichi, JH1RNI will be active holiday style as JH1RNI/6 from Ishigaki Island (AS-024) between 15 and 21 March. He will operate CW, digital modes and SSB “if possible” on 40 to 6 metres.

Japan, JA. Taka, JA8COE will be active as JA8COE/6 from Uji Island (AS-067) between 5 and 12 April. He will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on 40 to 6 metres. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, or direct to home call.

Ogasawara, JD1_oga. Celebrating their 60th anniversary, members of the Toshiba Fuchu Amateur Radio Club (JA1YVT) will be active as JA1YVT/JD1 from Chichijima between 2 and 7 April and Hahajima between 8 and 10 April. Both islands count for IOTA group AS-031, and Ogasawara DXCC wise. They will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on 80 to 10 metres, as well as on 6 and 2 m. Thailand, HS. Members of the Red Star Contest Club will be active holiday style as E28AM/p from Koh Chang (AS-125) on 25-28 April. Team members are E20EHQ, E21LLR, E25GGT, E25KFR, E25VVE, HS1JZT, HS5NMF and IV3GMZ. They will operate CW, SSB and digital modes on 40 to 10 metres. QSL via E21LLR, Club Log’s OQRS and LoTW.

Italy, I. Members of ARI Sondrio (IQ2UL) will operate special event station II2AUT from 27 March to 10 April for the World Autism Awareness Day. QSL via IK2WAD. Back in 2007 the United Nations General Assembly declared 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day to highlight the need to help improve the quality of life of autistic individuals so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.

Spain, EA. Look for EG60GURU/p to be active from various SOTA locations in Spain during March. This activity is a tribute to Jose-Antonio Gurutzarri “Guru” Jauregi (EA2IF), an outstanding personality of the Summits On The Air programme, who passed away in 2022. Guadeloupe, FG. Jean-Luc, F1ULQ will be active again TO1Q from Guadeloupe (NA-102) starting on 24 March for a couple of weeks. He will operate SSB and digital modes on 80 to 6 metres and will participate in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL Club Log’s OQRS, LoTW, or via home call.

St Vincent, J8. Ishmael, 8P6PE will be active as J87PE from St Vincent Island between 16 and 30 March. This will be a “POTA vacation”, with activity on 40 to 6 metres SSB. QSL via LoTW, eQSL and QRZ Logbook.
