WRTC 2026 Teams Announced. The list of the 50 qualifying teams that will compete in the World Radiosport Team Championship in July 2026 can be found on https://www.wrtc2026.org/competitors-and-referees/, along with the list of the 50 selected referees.

Sierra Leone, 9L. Following the forced postponement of 3C2MD, the Mediterraneo DX Club will now be going to Sierra Leone instead. A large multi-national team (AG4W, DL6KVA, DL6LZM, DL8JJ, F6IRA, GI4DOH, HB9DHG, HB9TOC, I8KHC, IU3PMA, IU4HRJ, IZ2GNQ, IZ4UEZ, OK2WX and YO8PS) will be active as 9L8MD from 30 October to 10 November. Wallis Island, FW. The DX Obsessed Group will now be active as FW5K from Wallis Island (OC-054) between 19 and 31 October. Six operators will be active on 160 to 6 metres CW, SSB, RTTY and other digital modes. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS; QSOs will be uploaded to LotW after 9 months “at the latest”. Vanuatu, YJ. Chris, VK2YUS will be active again as YJ0CA from Port Vila (OC-035) Vanuatu between 14 and 24 October. He will operate SSB on 40 to 10 m, typically between 21 UTC and 10 UTC. QSL direct to home call; he does not use LoTW or Club Log.

Japan, JA. Take, JI3DST will be active as JS6RRR from Miyako Island (AS-079) from 26 September until 3 December. He will operate SSB, CW and digital on 40 to 6 metres. Other call signs to be used are JI3DST/6, JJ5RBH/6, JI3DST/p and JJ5RBH/p. QSOs will be uploaded to Club Log and LoTW.

Japan, JA. Mitsuru, JE1HXZ will be active as JE1HXZ/6 from Kita-Daito Island (AS-047) between 8 and 15 October. He will operate CW, SSB, RTTY and digital on 160 to 6 metres. QSL via LoTW.

India, VU. AT25GOA is a special callsign celebrating HamFest India 2025. Look for activity between 29 September and 13 October on 80-10 metres SSB, CW and digital. QSOs will be uploaded to QRZ Logbook and Club Log. See https://www.qrz.com/db/AT25GOA for more information.

Saudi Arabia, HZ. In recognition of World Space Week, the Saudi Amateur Radio Society (HZ1SAR) will activate the special call sign HZ9WSW between 4 and 10 October. Also active during the same period will be the Emirates Amateur Radio Society as A60WSW (individual operators may append a serial number to the special call sign).

Spain, EA. AN5CV is a special call sign to be activated between 6 and 12 October to celebrate the Day of the Valencian Community. Certificates and eQSLs will be available on HamAward.
The Netherlands, PA. PA80VERON is the special call sign for members of the Vereniging voor Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek in Nederland (VERON) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Dutch IARU society. QSL via PA1AW.

Greenland, OX. Bo, OZ1DJJ will be active again as OX3LX from Greenland (NA-018) between 3 and 21 October. As always, this will be a working trip and he will be active only in his spare time. QSL via LoTW, Club Log’s OQRS or via OZ0J.

Haiti, HH. Members of Radio Club d’Haiti will be active as 4V1SB between 1 and 31 October. QSL via N2OO. The special call sign commemorates Simon Bolivar, who led several South American countries to independence from the Spanish Empire. Haiti played a crucial role in Bolívar’s revolutionary efforts by offering him refuge and providing significant military support.

Columbia, HK. 5J3HD and 5K3CD are the special callsigns for members of the Liga de Radioaficionados de Bogota (HK3LRB) to celebrate Hispanicity Day and Columbus Day on 11 to 13 October. QSLs via LoTW, QRZ Logbook, eQSL, or direct to HK3LRB.
