Eden Amateur Radio Club in George, Western Cape, is excited to announce that plans are underway to launch a pico balloon mission using ZS1ERZ, channel 21 on Sunday 29th June 2025 weather permitting.
It will also use a Pico-Pi coupled with a Traquito add on board to provide GPS (ATGM336H), Radio Transmitter (SI5351A) + 0.5ppm TCXO, and a Voltage Monitor.
I have chosen the 10m band (28.126MHz) to TX on. This allows a “short” 5m ½ wave dipole antenna.
